The most popular posts on this blog are the ones where I write facts about myself. It’s probably because the majority of my readership consists of family/friends. If you’re not family or a friend, you’re the real MVP for following along and I thank you. Anyways, since I haven’t posted one of these in a hot minute, here’s some new facts:
- I fell up stairs when I was a toddler and had to get stitches under my eye. They strapped me to a table to do it and for a long time I thought I dreamt that part until my mom confirmed I was indeed strapped down.
- I have a birthmark on my chin that starts to look like I have chocolate ice cream on my face in the summer.
- I have a really hard time picking a favorite anything. It feels too final
to me and I don’t like that feeling. - I love bread and butter pickles.
- If I could meet anyone alive it would be Tyler Henry, the Hollywood Medium.
- My middle name is Catherine.
- The career I have now didn’t even exist when I started college.
- My favorite beer is Hoegaarden Rose. I’ve never found it in the U.S. but I had it at a hostel in Brugges, Belgium and if anyone knows how I can find it LMK. (I know I said I don’t like picking favorites, this doesn’t count)
- Speaking of hostels, when my friends and I stayed at one in Barcelona we ended up sharing a room with a group of “professional French spray painters”. To this day I don’t know if they really were or that was just their excuse for having about 100 cans of spray paint in our room.
- One winter break from college I spent working at BJ’s (like a Costco for those not familiar) with a few friends giving out samples in an apron and gloves.
- I won my 5th-grade class spelling bee and then was eliminated in the school spelling bee on the word “scholar”.
- I could eat fish tacos all day, any day.
- I think La La Land is the worst movie in the history of film and I’m glad it didn’t actually win the Oscar.
- The movie P.S. I love you, Folgers commercials and Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood” are the only things that make me cry every single time I watch or hear them.
- I can ski and snowboard.
- I’m happiest when I’m near
an ocean . - I went to Chicago for St. Patty’s Day with a boyfriend when I was in college and in front of all his siblings I made a comment about how “I didn’t know you could see the ocean from Chicago”. I quickly learned it was a lake and to this day it’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever said. I blame it on the nerves.
- I love that my birthday is November 1 because the digits are 111.
- I’ve worked really hard for the jobs and career I currently have and I don’t take it for granted.
- Running comes really naturally to me but I’m horrible at keeping up with a routine. Trying to do better at that in 2019.
- I got a ride home from beach patrol on a college trip to Daytona because I couldn’t find my hotel. It was literally a truck driving miles down the beach of Daytona and it was amazing. There’s more to this story but my mom might read this so it’s a story for another day.
- I studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland and the campus was an old army barracks. One night I forgot my key to get in through the
turnstyle and we had to climb over a cement wall with spikes to get in. There’s obviously more to this story as well. - I LOVE The Voice on NBC.
- I’m watching the Grammys right now and don’t know why J
.Lo chose to wear that hat. - I think my next post will be “25 stories I shouldn’t tell my parents”.
