I wish I could say that during quarantine I’m being #ProductiveAF —learning new skills, saving my money, hydrating, working out multiple times a day and just really getting my sh*t together, but I’d be lying to you.
Honestly, I’ve felt stressed, tired, and unsure of how this will all play out. And that’s ok. There’s no right way to deal with what’s going on in the world right now because not one of us has been through this before. I’m happy that I’m safe. My family is safe. Charlotte is safe and super happy with all the extra time she’s had outside lately. And, I’m taking some time to reflect and really focus on what life will be after we’re on the other side of this.
All that being said, I’ve been a little productive and even saved some money but, I’ve also felt those quarantine blues and bought some things that I probably wouldn’t have had this not all happened. I blame it on all podcasts I’ve been listening to and the Tik Toks I’ve watched but I don’t regret any of these purchases. So, without further ado, here’s some of what I’ve bought and loved the last 6ish weeks.
- Aerie Sunday Soft Quarter-zip Sweatshirt. Literally everyone on Instagram had this so I had to buy it and it’s 100% as amazing as everyone said it was.
- Oxi Clean White Revive. Bought this because Char had an accident on my white duvet and I wish I bought it sooner. My whites are the whitest they’ve ever been.
- Bala Bangles. I heard about these listening to Lauren Elizabeth’s podcast and I’m obsessed. They’re pricey and come in 1 and 2 pound options but they’re 10/10 worth it.
- Baggu reusable bags. I don’t think we’re allowed to use these right now at grocery stores but I love them.
- Quick-release watch band. I can’t find the actual link to the one I bought but I’m obsessed. I have a Garmin Vivomove (which I highly recommend) and I wanted a new band for it and got this one for under $10.
- Gel nail polish. My nails have been a hot mess the last month or so and I finally caved and bought nail polish to try and remedy the situation. Felt like a new person as soon as I did my nails. Also 10/10 would recommend.
- Huge straws. I prefer drinking with a straw no matter what/when I’m drinking but these are a game-changer when it comes to hydration. I’ve been trying to drink more water at home and these help me do that. Can’t explain why but they do.
- The Home Edit. Trying to use this time to do something productive and finally organize any and everything. This book is helping me do that.
- Buzz Lightyear Dog Toy. I wouldn’t be a good dog mom if I didn’t throw in something for Charlotte. And, it doesn’t hurt that this one isn’t filled to the brim with stuffing that I’ll have to pick up five minutes later.
